I have more of a problem with the flip flop of his position than the position itself. The next time we have information about a near term terrorist attack and we have a few guys in custody that can give us more information, I'll go there and torture them myself. I don't see how sacrificing a few thousand people and few hundred billion dollars of infrastructure over waterboarding is worth it when these idiots set their prisoners on fire or behead them. It's not like taking the high road is going to impact them positively. There's a line between abuse and common sense and I don't think you should tie the hands of government on defense matters until they cross it.
