I may sell out my principals and enjoy the band on the Titanic re AARP.

I won't. As far as I'm concerned, AARP can go to hell. As much as I find class warfare, promulgated by left wing Dems, a despicable policy, I view the age warfare waged by AARP in an equally obnoxious light.

The way that they use little kids, the ones whose future they're trying to screw over, in their commercials makes me ill. So called entitlements, as they're currently configured, are going to destroy the future economic well being of this country and AARP is doing its damnedest to make sure that needed changes do not occur.

The bit of money I'd save with AARP insurance, discounts, etc., is not worth it to me, as the cost of rendering de facto support to their policies far outweighs the benefits of membership, again, as far as I'm concerned..
