this is why you don't allow the game to be close if you are the better team. if you aren't better, well, anything can, and often does, happen.
btw, laugh all you want at the chargers, but once you play them in the playoffs and beat them, you couldn't get another win two seasons running.
we need to remember that if we torture for information then we are not one iota better than others who torture for information. therefore, we are hypocrites if we feel we are wronged when our boys and girls are tortured for information.
btw, what specific attacks on us interests were prevented by the use of torture?
i heard bush ask america if we preferred the attacks to the torture... frankly, i'd prefer a president who told me what attacks were prevented before i answer that question... and didn't lie at the drop of hat like bush, jr will.
i think the odds are at least even they didn't get jack on a specific terror plot and they didn't stop anything - and that bush is just lying to cover up his pro torture stance.
bin laden didn't bring us down... he just gave us a reason to eat ourselves alive, from the inside out - and bush has been non stop chomping.
let's see, under bush we've seen...
1. declared a war on false pretenses.
2. burned a trillion on said war.
3. seen an entire city collapse.
4. seen the value of our currency collapse.
5. seen housing excesses and collapse.
6. the embracing of torture.
7. professional drug dealers believed over border agents (free ramos and compean!).
