Paul; Hard to say if the program guidelines will allow those funds to be used to cross subsidize the production of K?. In any event that much money would not go far even if was all applied to the K? programs. AMDs problems with yields hopefully will soon be in the past, and with a few strategic partners like Compaq who wish to ensure competition at some level will survive. Don't forget that Compaq gains by this as well. The entire hierarchy of Pentiums was forced down in price by AMDs existance. Compaq knows this and will not stand idly by and let them vanish. Bill
