LIAR. Bush's tax code definitely favors the rich. If you are making under $500,000 per year it was not written for your benefit. Read the book "Perfectly Legal" by the GOP accountant to dissects the small print. It exposes the huge loopholes available only for the very rich and big corporations, including huge tax breaks for sending US jobs overseas.

Also remember that the average working stiff gets a huge amount of taxes withheld from his paycheck. The rich get nothing withheld and can use all sorts of tax dodges to reduce their tax rate down to near zero. Same with corporations. And remember, one of the first things Bush did was fire one third of the IRS attorneys whose job it was to go after rich tax evaders. Cheney's own company Halliburton moved to Dubai to evade US taxes and has dozens of huge accounts in the Cayman Islands. This is what the rightwing wants, for the rich guys and big corps to get away with minimal taxation and for average people to shoulder the burden.

This has resulted in some trillions in new debt under Bush. If his tax policies become permanent this will balloon to 13 trillion total by 2010. That is mostly money that's subsiding the very rich and big corporations, most of whom don't give a damn about the rest of us. It's gross welfare for the CEO's, billionaires and investment class. It's class warfare ripping off every average person in the US. Democrats want tax breaks only for those who need them. It's time the rich and big corps started paying for this land which gives them the opportunity to get so rich. Bushies have let them shirk their duty.
