<<<Well, yes, if health insurance costs $10k per year for a family of 4 and the family gross income is say $40K they may "choose" to have a roof over their head and food to eat and clothing rather than purchase health insurance. Some "choice".>>>
It is morally and aesthetically repugnant to me that we are still debating whether we should have universal healthcare.
I can understand where it will be a long time before India, China, and all the African nations can even start this discussion, but the advanced nations on this planet (Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, etc) have all found ways to provide universal healthcare for all their citizens.
We are not even at the stage where we are discussing how to find ways to provide universal healthcare, we are still debating IF we should even try to find ways to provide universal healthcare for all our citizens.
Something is wrong with this discussion. |
