The Pyramid with they eye is also coincidentally a Mason symbol. I tend to agree that they symbolism of Masons was infused by people familiar with it, but not in the spirit of conveying a message that they controlled anything as much as using widely accepted symbols to send the messages of freedom and personal responsibility.
