Oh a house in California may be in the offing but I just came back from a long weekend of skiing in the Laurentians where my family has a place ... I'll keep my Canucky residence thanks very much... I love the sharp contrast in seasons.. Just late fall sucks... far too dreary.. short days.. I start perking up at the Winter Solstice ... There are some social reasons I prefer it up here also :O) Yes the DVP is far worse... add the huge building boom.. and pathetic public transit enhancements... it's not good... 10 lanes in places on 401 yes... (at some horrific exit/merges) not enough... now a private highway, 407, runs parallel north of Toronto.. pay as you go... so of course it's rarely crowded ... very rarely .. yeah I use it though ;o) Supply and demand has its flaws... too many folks inherently want something for nothing and do not understand true value so they waste time on free clogged highways....
