Both the Little Ice Age and the Medieval Warm Period where more likely volcanic linked than anything else.

"were more likely"? In addition to being an unsupported statement it really isn't saying much.

There are theories about both, but extremely solid theories about neither. No one knows for sure exactly how much the various possible factors contributed.
