Pam, Doesn't matter at all. I happen to like some Israeli people and for that reason like the Israeli's in general. I just found it a nice point (nothing more than that) that a lot of the current flash innovation seems to originate directly or indirectly from them: SanDisk maybe (it doesn't really matter), M-Systems, and Saifun. Anyway, from my perspective it's not that important at all / I don't care.

The reason behind my other opinion (why support competition if there are reasonable alternatives) is a good reason imo. I didn't say buying from competition never happens; it's just less likely imo. You seem to disagree with this some somewhere along the line because you've seen differently sometimes. I'm perfectly fine with that. This is only guess work anyway until we would have real data. I tried to get it but wasn't succesful for the flash vendors for the blu-ray device.

BTW it kinda feels that you reacted a bit emotionally here. I hope not but if I caused that I'm sorry. In one of our earlier discussions I wanted to get facts on mem cell size which we got straight in the end. I for one liked that discussion. It had purpose plus the facts were very clear after a couple of posts and some good digging. I'm looking forward to more of those.

Regards,

Rink
