We all knew he was a philanderer but it didn't sink in that lying was a character flaw, I figured hillary was ok with it so it wasn't that dishonest and it was just between them. I didn't believe the 'but I didn't inhale' comment because I had seen Dick Cavett say the same thing on his talk show in 1969. I thought it was supposed to be taken as a jokey way of saying none of your business. The finger wag really got me. I believed him when he said, 'I did not have sex with that woman, Monica Lewinski'. When I found out he was lying I was floored not by the lie but by his ability to deliver it so effectively. Then I started to pay more attention and really got pissed when I realized how deep the problem went.
