I had no idea until this year how screwy this process is. The US has no right to bitch about other countries' elections until we get proportional representation.

Well the old idea was that a party was not like a country... it was a group of people, some with a lot more power than others. That perception seems to be changing... we'll see if it comes down to a brokered, dead heat convention.

BTW, the definition of "brokered":
