I notice you have no problem making such statements yourself without backing them up, but you always challenge other people if they don't provide evidence.

Fine I'll rephrase, you have presented no evidence that indicates the vast majority of public schools are better than the vast majority of private schools.

Going by anecdotal evidence I'd even say the opposite is true, but that's just my own experience, and some 2nd and third hand stories, not some sort of formal study. Of course a formal study wouldn't really argue about which is "better", but which produces better results on some specific measure. "Better" is to vague and subjective to be something you measure scientifically.
