Pot does not damage the mind. That's a fallacy. The cliche is that it kills braincells, and memory. Indeed, scientists recently found that rats exposed to marijuana smoke actually had their minds and memories stimulated and improved. Of course pot is not something to smoke while reading, writing or operating machinery, but for playing music and downtime watching a movie or chatting with friends, it's fine. It also helps a lot of people with stress and sleeping problems.

The reason the corporate world lobbies to keep pot illegal is because anyone can grow it so it's free, and they want to keep charging $10 a bill for valium instead. WHo'd need valium if pot were legal? Nobody.

Willie Nelson has written some of the greatest country songs in history while high on pot. It works for him, and millions of others too. It should be totally decriminalized, regulated and taxed. Those taxes could help pay for a lot of expenses in this country. And people are going to smoke pot no matter what, so why not?

Oh yeah, the religious right is also against it? Why? Because it gives spiritual high and lets you see divinity in nature, in your mind and just being. So churches become less necessary too. Thousands of religions have used herbs that get you high for spiritual pathway assistance. That's gone on for thousands of years.
