Do know something about computers though, including a brief stint as a CIO. Designed a lot of systems in my time. I understand your point. In this case, though, your system design costs are lessened because you're not inventing your own wheel. You shouldn't need an IT professional on staff, just a service contract. Also, we need to look at total cost savings throughout the system, not just the cost to the doctor's office.
