IMO what affect higher rates will have on the pog (gold stocks) will depend on whether or not Greenspan is seen to have moved too late or not. If he is perceived to be behind the inflation curve, it will be good for gold. Vice versa if he is seen to be moving early. Gold stocks can definately rise with interest rates so long as inflation is seen to be rising faster. Wonder what the Oct 28th meeting is all about?
