agreed. We are responsible for cleaning up the mess we made. And even early on, when the pundits were claiming we were winning in Iraq, immediately after the statue was tumbled, I felt we had created a mess there, because Saddam was the only secular leader in the region. As a woman I don't want another maniacal cleric ruling *any* country in the world. I don't care if the cleric is a US ally or not. This bizarre treatment of women in Muslim countries scares me, and that was the outcome of a US **win** in Iraq. So even from the fist moment we set foot there, it was a losing proposition as far as I am concerned. Saddam was the best leader possible for the region, and we killed him.
