Chip, when supply is larger than demand at a given price there is downward pressure on prices, but T/A gives no clue about future supply and demand. If you were correct then TLAB should have dropped today. It didn't! I stand by my statement -- you cannot make reasonably accurate predictions on a day to day basis for stock movements based on past movements and volume (this has been demonstrated repeatedly in a mathematically rigorous form), but it is possible to make money trading stocks short-term by taking advantage of the random walk characteristics of price movements if you have a Level 2 screen by watching the supply and demand of shares as they materialize.

Good luck,

Paul
