I admired McCain in 2000 and loved the monicker 'straight talk express'. But he is trapped in a political party unique unto itself. It is a sad caricature of the Grand Old Party of 50 years ago. I don't even know what name it deserves. But it does deserve and needs (for the health of the country) to be driven so far out of power that it must re-create itself into something that brings benefit to segments other than the ultra-rich and arm-chair warriors. I could be wrong, but my world view leaves me wanting full Dem control of everything and we'll just have to see what happens. However, I must confess it makes me a little nervous. <gg>
