Alicia, your response is well considered, however, something strange happens to various issues that are unexplained by many of the actions by the market itself in reference to product, news, and sales. In my mind there are no "accidents" but the market reacts to news whether it be financial, revenue, or product. For the market to react to false or inacurrate trading data is not beneficial to the investors in general.

The few rougue specialists seem to have had an affect on the market that was more extensive than most of us had imagined. The requirement to contact or report various trading activity seems to have been ignored in some cases.

The market makers, by virtue of the profits made by a select few investors, have been contacted and various manipulations have occured. While not surprised by the action, I am surprised by the volume and how it has been ignored by the regulatory agencies. It seems to be part of the business, so the selections you make as an investor become far more dependent in the reasearch you do beforehand. Trusting your "broker" is becoming a thing of the past. Do your own work and hope like like hell you figure out what is going on is the best approach. The brokers are guessing too.
