We have paint on the pavement throughout our
neighborhood for FiOS--it will be interesting to
watch the rollout. Right now I pay about $150 total
(that includes taxes) for all our various comms and
entertainment. And this is only very basic service
(with the exception of unlimited long distance--
which is half our expense).

Presumably Verizon will force me off my cheap Verizon
DSL and onto the fiber. But at the least this will
put some pressure on Comcast. I'll go to whatever
is cheapest, but I don't expect Verizon to be cheap.
But I'd even consider putting an aerial back up to
save a few bucks, so you can't go by me <g>.

I also get weekly offers from Clearwire in the mail--
boy, they've got to be sweating it.

I'll miss my $15 DSL, that is for sure.
