Hi craig,
very good news, this shows that COHR is really putting its gun at the semi Lirthography market. How much market share could it win over from CYMI ? This news-item shows me that COHR currently has 3 compelling arguments to switch over to LAMBDA PHYSIK's offering:

1) reduced COO regarding to 'conventional' design (meaning CYMI's)

2) The fact that Matsushita Research is in the boat of this laser should help Lambda win clients from Japanese fabs. This could provide a door-opener with Nikon and Canon

3) From Cymer thread I learnt that Nikon or Canon is currently having VIBRATION problems that had to be adressed at least in one fab-setup. From what I see in this news-item (re: optical resonator), this could be an answer that eliminates such hassles by DESGIN !

My estimate: roughly 20% of the Laser Lithography market in DUV should belong to COHR end of 98'.

Best wishes & happy inve$ting,
CROSSY
