I was just going through past MSFT news and came across the following typical PR news that I am sure MSFT (and its partners) will try to manipulate and to use as part of their marketing tactics to push for the hack, and painful DNA and the so called COM+ technology! However I read this and got a real good laugh out of it! In the words of Alan Greenspan this is irrational exuberance at its best! The news story states that thousands of developers gave 2 thumbs up to MSFT's DNA and COM+ technology. (See biz.yahoo.com ). This will be an excellent funny story to keep around to bring it up in about 3-4 months from now, and to use it as a perfect case and example of irrational exuberance! The irrational exuberance all these developers share (if indeed the news story is true!) will soon be replaced by rational reasoning and a major shock to these developers that their employers will not in any way form or shape be able to sign their paychecks, should they decide to continue having their irrational exuberance in this manner! The market requirements and needs have made it possible for these developers' employers to make a lot more money if they are smart enough and not to use MSFT proprietory technology and instead use the open Java component model technology (as defined by Sun)! Anyway, I have printed out the above MSFT PR news story and have enlarged it and have put it on my office wall and have highlighted the words thousands of developers (!), with a sign next to it: ... You are now in Twiligh Zone, in a place called idiot's dream land, population thousands of Micromind followers, soon to be shocked with a new dimension called mass openness! Regards, Addi Jamshidi
