I happen to agree with you about the Obama fervor and find it a little amusing.

At the same time, the enormous increase in Dem turnout this year for both Hillary and Obama shows how much change is wanted.

It's a clear repudiation of the policies and the track record of the Bush administration and may also be a referendum on supply side economics. Increasingly, I hear pundits on CNBC admitting that tax cuts don't pay for themselves and not much has trickled down to the 60% of households making less than $57,600 per year.

There seems to be a sobering up and admission of failure taking place in the country even though many aren't in total agreement on the direction forward.

And right-wing fear tactics just aren't resonating anymore.

We could be experiencing a generational shift in the political landscape. Personally, I'm hoping for total Dem control backed by a sweeping voter mandate that gives them power and time to try and turn things around. Just like the Rs were given.
