Are you suggesting that Kenneth E. Phillips, as a trial attorney, would understand how this happens, more than any other citizen who has read the Constitution?
Or, how it should not happen and be rooted out or defended against?
And, maybe, be an issue in this election?
Or one by one in the election of our Senators and "Congresspeople" so we get the "critical" - literally - mass in Washington to change Washington? Take nothing for granted. Return to our principles. Operate, therefore, of the people, by the people, and for the people in accordance with our laws.
That's a reason to support Barack Obama, even if there are unknowns that you or others cannot yet resolve.
I would rather have someone of his education and policies and capability than, as he says, someone who's been in Washington long enough to have most of their hope boiled out of them.
His and Michelle's motivation to leave this country better off because of his campaign, win or lose, is exactly the same motivation he intends to bring to the Whitehouse and what they each want to leave for their children.
So he not only has the capability, but the principles to get us on and keep us on the course that is our highest objective. That was enough to get my vote, regardless of issues I disagree with and that I hope he "moves" on, or fills in more to my liking.
For me, the country comes before my personal self-interest. |
