I know there are tax credits, but I'm unaware of any direct subsidies. They aren't mentioned in that story. I also notice that the story says two-thirds of the plants are owned by foreign companies who have experience in building them. Seems to me that we need to get ahead of that curve. I, for one, wouldn't be averse to government subsidies to encourage development of wind and solar power technologies. - Allen
