sorry to read that, at least your bank was on top of it which is a plus. i recall reading about another form of debit card fraud, prepaids used to launder money. it's a real shame how abuse ruins it for legitimate use, for example: college student did international study, bought a prepaid american express debit card from the bank that allowed for funds to be added if needed, only to have american express discontinue the policy shortly thereafter and refund the remaining funds probably because of the abuse of others who used the prepaid debit cards for illegal money laundering imo.
