Son in law wanted to be a pilot and was just about through when he had a rather rough landing in a cross wind that I think scared the bejesus out of him. He hasn't flown since and never did finish. I told him afraid is not a trait for a pilot and if you were afraid then you weren't confident in your abilities and you should give serious thought to quitting and he did. I always wanted to fly but now with high BP and such I likely couldn't pass the physical.
