When I called DAK on Thursday or Friday, I spoke briefly with Mr. Robert Bateman. The 100% acquisition of the oil & gas (seismic) company is apparently done, pending completion of paperwork; a news release is expected this week. The only other big "new" development is that the company is in talks with another lucrative play which DAK officials see as having large potential. I wasn't able to get any clearer details at the time, but I was lead to believe this will be their major focus upon completion of the forementioned acquisition. Otherwise, not a lot more to speak of. I think interest is building in this company, and Mr. Bateman confirms that they have received more investor-related calls. Also, it looks like the company has become a lot more responsive to callers -- I have gotten through each and every time I've called in the last few months, and both Robert and Richard have been informative and willing to answer questions. (This is in contrast with the difficulty in getting in touch with any company officials earlier in the year (Jan-Apr).) Last news release was in April, so I'm hoping/counting on seeing one soon. Ben
