Wayne, Hughes has a way to go yet before he has a deposit near Kimberley.
Kennecott's hole K-97-03 appears to be 45 kms due N and trending across stratigraphy. Zn-Pb-As?? Since when did the Sullivan Mine have Arsenides in the ore??
Note the intersection between 505.90m and 506.55m at 33.7%Zn, 9.51% Pb and 80.9g/t Ag. Not a typical "SEDEX" deposit profile here, and we're not talking Sedex as in the company's name. Kennecott calls the sulphides "veins" and NOT "beds". Those ratios that Dr. Woodfill points out don't appeart consistent to me.
They refer to pyrrhotite and sphalerite stringers but no assay confirmation given for this claim.
I look at Abitibi and Sedex'x map Figure 1 and of course the economic feature is to find the corridor in the Lower Aldridge Formation as at the Sullivan Mine. I Note that NOWHERE ELSE on the entire map is a similar feature shown.
On their figure 2, I am curious why DDH K-97-03 was drilled where it is and not down the Panda Vent System (i.e. 700 meters to the SW?).
Also on Figure 2 DDH K-97-03 is shown at about 85 degrees but apparently was drilled at 45 deg. Why is this displayed as such??
I'd like to see a few of these key points explained?? Your comments please?
