Penny wise and pound foolish! There is plenty of competition in the credit card arena. It won't take long for there to be a backlash amongst the company's customers. I'm finding it harder and harder to understand the managements of these companies. For banks to go out of their way to screw customers... it just doesn't make sense. There's too much competition, imo, and it won't take long for these banks to lose a substantial portion of their customer base. Sure, the short term gains on the books will look sweet. Long term, they are shooting themselves in the feet! This does not sound like a strategy for long term success. I couldn't agree more!
