Greatmood, I have a subscription to Infrastructure, and in fact e-mailed Carl Johnson requesting that he allow me to post some quotes from the article on this thread. I have yet to hear from him, and am not sure of the copyright implications involved. Since his is a for-pay service, I will not quote from the article unless I receive his permission. However, I will say that the article doesn't really say a lot about Cymer specifically, but rather is an article (to be followed by two more) about photolithograpy in the semi-industry in general. The gist of the article is that (1) the death of photolithography has been warned of for years, but the business itself is very resiliant and healthy, with possibly a good run in front of it, because (2) the capabilities of DUV technology can very possibly be extended well beyond the .25 micron level. Of course, due to the participation of the very knowledgeable people on this thread, we already knew this. I suspect today's price movment is very much due to the Silicon Valley contract and not the Infrastructure article, which was posted early LAST week.
