Thanks for the suggestion SO, but I prefer to live in Hell and hope for improvement. I am improving it, but there are lots of people working against me.

Actually, parts of Africa look really nice, as seen on tv. South Africa didn't appeal to me on a two day visit 34 years ago and I hear it's worse now.

I used to think of Kenya as a good place. But that's problematic now. Ivory Coast and Ghana are two other places I think of as having nice people and climates. Mauritius would be my first pick I think.

It's always amusing when people suggest people go somewhere else if they don't like things about where they are. Do you divorce your wife and evict your children because they are less than perfect? Do you think of ending it all when you look in the mirror?

It's one of the fun things about coming back to NZ after some time away - moan about how horrid various things are. People use their great imaginations and say "If you don't like it, why don't you go back where you came from?" Which is especially amusing when they say it to immigrants who were invited into the country by the appointees of said citizens who object to the moaning.

It should not surprise people when Islamic Jihad and Chinese immigrants start turning the country into a mixture of Baghdad and Beijing. The silly local yokel arrogant racists think that immigrants will turn into Kiwis. If they thought about history a little bit, they would notice that English immigrants didn't turn into Maoris. Maoris were dispossessed - voluntarily, as we are being these days. Our neighbours sold their house to Koreans and I would happily do the same. Many businesses are being sold to Chinese immigrants. That's just how the British bought their way into NZ originally.

After a while, the local yokels notice that they are no longer in the majority and there are new rulers in town. It's too late to moan then.

PS: Speak of the Devil. Herald has an article on it today - Chinese language to take over NZ if their plans go right.
