I was reminded on another thread about John Dunning, author and a used bookshop owner from Denver. He's fun if you're a mystery buff and a book collector. He peppers his stories with the arcana of collecting, like identifying points on first edition first state, first edition second state, etc, and the various ways publishers may indicate a first. His protagonist is a former cop turned used bookshop owner and part time private eye.
