Motorola Buys Digital Cable Set-Top Assets of Dahua Digital for Undisclosed Amount

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (AP) -- Motorola Inc. said it purchased the digital cable set-top assets of privately held Zhejiang Dahua Digital Technology Co. and Hangzhou Image Silicon.

Terms were not disclosed.

China-based Zhejiang Dahua and Hangzhou are known collectively as Dahua Digital, which makes cable set-tops and integrated circuits.

Motorola said late Sunday that the acquisition will broaden its Chinese digital set-top box offerings and strengthen its product line.

Dahua Digital will become part of Motorola's home & networks mobility business.
