Maybe the worst of the insanity has been undone. Yet, the continued drop of market leaders like GOOG shows that a lot of air must come out before a bottom is really in, IMO.

At one point, we will also see much lower profit estimates, particularly if no big realignment in the USD takes place. Heady corporate profits driven by unhedged currency gains vs. the dollar are a thing of the past.

Not even the continued drop in financials´ stocks makes me bullish. The bad market breadth makes me actually more bearish.

The is one real achievement of Ben Bernanke. He cut the rates to a level where the rate curve finally normalized and the danger of inverting it is diminished. This comes at a cost which will be borne by all but whose size is yet to be determined.
