RR I don't know the answer. What I think is that the Canadian economy and businesses including mining are suffering badly from the current level of the Canadian dollar versus the US$. If the Canadian economy continues to suffer, indeed worse, if it has to suffer more because the looney goes even higher, then there will be a crisis. A higher looney therefore probably cannot be sustained.... the bank of Canada knows what it wants... a looney no higher than .98c.

Being an optimist, that's the way I am betting.
