Who knows the way Democrats think. I thought Obama won handily. It wasn't even close. She kept trying to score a win and he had excellent responses to her every attempt. He looked like Teflon Obama tonight. Unflappable, he even cracked a couple of jokes.

She began the debate on the wrong foot by whining about being always asked the first question and never really fully recovered. Maybe playing the victim works with Democrat focus groups, but I thought it was an idiotic move.

Obama hit her on NAFTA, on taking Lobbyist money, on failing to get broad support for her health care plan years ago, on voting for the war and on her whining.

McCain should not underestimate him in the debates. He will be very difficult to beat. It's obvious he has strong emotional as well as intellectual intelligence.

Hillary appeared frustrated, on the defensive with the questioners and on a couple of occasions rude.

She had to win big in order to shift momentum in the race. Judging on that score Obama had an even greater victory.

We'll see what the polls show in a few days.
