I did not know anything of Larry McMurtry's book stores. Thanks for the links. They look like something out of one of his novels, don't they? I've read many of his books. The Lonesome Dove series is my favorite, and seems to be the most readable and organized of those I've read. Some of his books are hard to get through. Right now I'm in the middle of Telegraph Days. I quit reading Anything For Billy before I finished it. Somehow, I just couldn't see where they had any point. Maybe it's my own preoccupation with other things in my life. Wilbur Smith never leaves me with that impression. His books always keep my attention cover to cover.
