That is why I put "deserving" in quotes. "Eligibility" for many that argue against universal health care is a fig leaf that attempts to hide allegiance to the one sided fixation of a class structure that dehumanizes those that have for one reason or another, or just temporarily, have not found economic "success". The irony in this case is that the population in question may be the majority of our society.
