RE: DMR Creates Year 2000 Practice - Cogni - Case
Strengthens DMR Offering
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--DMR Group Inc. has officially launched a
worldwide Year 2000 practice which will see the Company establish
five Year 2000 factories in four countries by year end, including
one in Montreal. Using the conversion tools of Montreal-based
Cogni-CASE inc., DMR intends to use these factories to develop
Year 2000 technology for new and current clients. Recent
contracts signed with major long-distance carriers, banks and
insurance companies and governments have pushed this practice into
the forefront.
Year 2000 services have been identified as a top priority for DMR.
The Company is offering comprehensive end-to-end solutions for
the Year 2000 problems of medium to large size organizations. DMR
is firm in its goal of becoming the premier Year 2000 partner for
its existing clients and intends to engage other opportunities
around the world. All Year 2000 conversion projects in Canada,
and some outside of Canada, will be carried out in Quebec.

City, New Jersey; Manchester, England; Atlanta, Georgia and
Melbourne, Australia - will be based on Cogni-CASE's proprietary
software, Cogni-2000(TM). DMR opted for Cogni - 2000(TM) for its
ability to automatically convert all program components for most
languages and platforms available today. Cogni-CASE is
undoubtedly a world leader in Year 2000 conversion, boasting more
than 100 conversion clients around the globe.
Amdahl Corporation has committed to grow its services business and
intends to give significant attention and resources to the Year
2000 service. "The creation of this practice follows closely on
the heels of the official opening of an Applications Development
Centre in Quebec City, which promises to generate more than 14
million dollars annually in the provincial capital region," said
