Dialog Telekom Expands Use of Harris Stratex Networks Wireless Transmission Solutions for Network Buildout and 3G Service Delivery

Sri Lanka's premier telecommunications provider uses Eclipse in ongoing expansion of core backbone and access radio transmission network

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Stratex Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSTX), the leading independent supplier of turnkey wireless transmission solutions, today announced a multimillion dollar contract with Dialog Telekom Sri Lanka for the supply of Eclipse(TM) nodal wireless transmission equipment.

This deal represents orders from Dialog Telekom, who has used all of the advanced features of the Eclipse microwave platform in the rapid growth of their GSM network, the country's largest mobile phone network. Utilizing the Eclipse platform's unique Super-PDH(TM) and XPIC technologies, Dialog has fully optimized the available radio spectrum, with up to two and a half times the typical payload transported over a single radio channel.

As an Eclipse customer for more than three years, Dialog Telekom was quick to embrace Eclipse's proven ability to optimize network capacity and performance and increase capacity where and when required with minimal cost and operational impact. Dialog Telekom continues to use Harris Stratex products and solutions because of Harris Stratex' ability to rapidly deliver and deploy an exceptionally performing product.
