Do we need a larger army or a larger SF?? I don't mind keeping the surge in effect until after this November. But after that, the Iraqi army really should be standing up and us pulling out. A long term garrison at Iraqi invitation of 70K or so with an improving security situation would leave us some more for Astan. Course, you have to decide how you want to fight that one too. I don't see you supporting the usual conventional response of more straight legs, so what does this larger army of draftees get you?? Are you planning on making incursions into Pakistan??
