spots, I've been doing options on cpq almost the week they opened up and had stk since before it was public.
cpq is very unpredictable.
You may make $10,000 one cycle then lose 40,000 the next.
I've learned to be very exact in my options trading on cpq and waiting for the sure things...those come rarely.
huge put play I won last yr and huge call play won this yr.
the fact that since the split announcement you have 100 point gain and an option's pryamid would have hit pay dirt doesn't change that.
You cannot judge what's happened since last july as typical.( 120 days
in cpq's 15 yr histroy). Cpq has crashed 30 times you know.
cpq is a 2000 lb gorilla in options market.
you would have to be a pro and on the trading floor to option compaq.
