I read an article sometime ago in the NYT magazine about what Hillary did as a freshman Senator in her first year. It was an impressive amount of work, in learning the rules procedures and people and quickly integrating and accomplishing what appeared to be a lot. There is nothing similar about Obama's first year. The article you posted reinforces that.
