There's a growing chorus all around of, "Support the politician I like or there is something wrong with you," which dominates the chat waves. You are a deranged liberal, an America hater, a sexist, a racist, anticonstitutional or something worse. Geraldine Ferraro was on NPR the other night going overboard on that theme. Too many people lose sight of the simple fact that people will vote FOR who they like the most. It's a real pleasure to have a campaign where we can finally vote FOR someone we like instead of saying hey, this sucks, but at least I can vote AGAINST that idiot. The problem is that the partisans for the pols who aren't coming out on top (incumbent and candidates) fall back on, "There must be something wrong with you," to rationalize the losses.
