GZ, your post scares me a bit. We are truly in a police state when normal people can't stand up for themselves by saying they feel they are in the right in the face of authority, and when the people in authority refuse to provide truthful information to citizens. "No, officer, I wasn't speeding." "Off to jail with you then!" Or, "Pardon me, officer, exactly what IS the speed limit here?" "Two miles an hour for you, punk. Get out of the car and put your hands on your head." GZ, I respect you a lot, but your "conflict avoidance" in dealing with authority is a sure and certain path to a total police state.
