Can't help but notice that you appear to be disagreeing with yourself there!

I'm tempted to just stand aside. :-)

But, I can't do that without noting my very FIRST thought (upon seeing your reply....)

My thought was: 'Yeah, right!' Like we have more active 'law enforcement' then, say, the old Soviet Union did... or the Chinese Communists, or the Cubans, etc., etc.

(Not bloody likely!)

More likely TOO MANY bad laws by a puritanical/authoritarian Big Government.

Ya know... it's kinda funny! People 'wondering' all the time about why the government is 'so big' and the tax bite so high... when all they gotta do is look around them and they will see massive social welfare transfer programs, $200 Billion per year war costs, and $50 Billion just to keep all these folks in prisons and jails (let alone how much it might cost to get 'em there, that $50 Bil. is just the 'warehousing' costs.)
