No, no, no.........you're much too negative.

There are LOTS of wealthy people down there with similar homes everywhere. That home will get snapped up in a heartbeat by some wealthy Californian looking for a deal, just like J Chris said. Beautiful area, but too hot for me in the summer time! Robin Williams has a home down there, as do many wealthy execs have winter homes there.
