The heat problem has been documented ad nauseum and DID happen. We still don't know all the fact's. Knowing ASND's propensity to....stretch the truth, it could have been much worse. Oh what a tangled web........ from thestreet.com snip................ Heat dissipation. Sometimes a snafu can be amusingly simple. The TNT is only the size of a kitchen microwave, but it throws out heat like a coal furnace. Bauer explains that when multiple TNTs were placed alongside one another, the cooling fan in one unit sometimes discharged hot air into its neighbor. Unsubstantiated stories have surfaced that TNTs started fires in some poor folks' closets. Bauer says that Ascend has added features to the TNT to redirect the air flow, and that heat dissipation is no longer a problem. He says only certain ISPs suffered heat malfunctions. ...........
